Dub Investigation

Dub Investigation are a three-piece musical collective who dig deep into the information of sound to investigate dub music and conscious vibes. Based in Dublin, Dub Investigation are currently focused, mainly, on the studio end of things, writing and recording fresh music on a weekly basis.

Despite this they are not unknown on the live scene. They travel around the country bringing their music to the people and are likely to be found performing at all the best summer festivals.

Serious Mischief

Clare band Serious Mischief climbed aboard the Holy Joe’s freight train one hot summer Sunday afternoon and what the sweltering, unsuspecting public were treated to was memorable to say the least. The vibes resonated around Temple Bar lifting the spirits of the masses. And some even got a taste of Sonny’s seafood chowder!

The band consists of a core of four members:

DARAGH McGLYNN (guitar, vocal): hard-living, hard-rocking. Sonny takes no prisoners with his rhythm playing! Also makes an amazing chowder

BLENDI KRASNIQI aka The Blender: The newest member of the Mischief, Blendi’s the train driver on the Serious Mischief Express!

ADAM DANIEL (horns,vocal): a player of high distinction having completed his term at the conservatory!

JON O’CONNELL (bass, vocal): fat and sleazy, dripping with funky over-flow (that’s the basslines!). Sings a bit too.

Fusion Family

Fusion Family are currently recording with Van Morrisson producer Brian Masterson, Their style is reggae/ska veering into ska/rock with catchy melodies and head shaking rhythms. This ‘family’ is on the up musically and is gaining notoriety with residency gigs at top Irish venues including Mixtape’s own musical home – the Mezz.

Intinn

Intinn are a 6 piece Reggae band from The West of Ireland. Their music is a blend of authentic Conscious Reggae / Dub and Drum & Bass crossed with traditional Irish Harp melodies. The group have being playing the Irish circuit of Clubs and festivals from the past 4 years and have crossed the seas to play in France, Spain and Italy. They have performed at Italys ‘Rototom Sunsplash’, Ireland’s Electric Picnic and the ‘Fete la Music’ street partys in the South of France. They have supported The Wailers, Zion Train and have shared the stage with The Skatilites and Eek a mouse. Intinn has just finished their debut album which will soon be availible to buy directly from the band on their website.
