With a clear vision in mind as to what the guys wanted to make this 5 piece went out and learned to play their instruments to make some of the finest, original, blues americana. They combine resophonic acoustica with thought-provoking song writing and a foot tapping rhythm, with a growing following Oil & Blood is a name to expect seeing on gig posters around the city.

Started in April 2006 by Shimmy & Carlos Irie, GigEvent promotes live music in all it's glorious forms. Also under the same roof is Irie Ireland, dedicated to pushing Reggae music in Ireland, be it Roots, Dub, Dancehall or Ska.
Currently GigEvent is hosting a showcase every Sunday afternoon at Dublin venue "The Mezz" which is filmed for internet broadcast, and producing other music and comedy video podcasts for online media company mixtape.
